Strengths & Needs Review – EHCP / EHC Needs Assessment Evidence
Designed specifically to update existing profiles of need, outcomes and support, and to provide evidence for an ongoing EHCP review or for submission for an EHC Needs Assessment. We review school/home documentation, speak with parents/staff, and (where appropriate) the young person themselves. The resulting report covers all four areas of need – Cognition & Learning; Communication & Interaction; Social, Emotional & Mental Health; Sensory/Physical—and delivers clear next-step recommendations.

Full Assessment with School Involvement
Our most comprehensive service: assessment takes place in school (with home options available by request). We gather information across contexts – school, home and individual work with the child or young person. This includes standardised measures for cognitive ability, literacy/attainment, emotional-wellbeing (if needed), consultation with parents and staff, and observation where appropriate. You’ll receive a full report covering current strengths, needs, outcomes and proposed support strategies.
Focused Assessment with School Information Included
When a full assessment isn’t required, this targeted option focuses on one specific area of concern. We gather relevant information from school and/or home, conduct individual work with the young person, agree key outcomes and suggested next steps, and provide a concise consultation record.

Observation & Consultation with Parents/Staff
Ideal for cases where observation and professional consultation are sufficient. We observe the child/young person (if suitable), consult with parents and staff, identify barriers/needs and propose outcomes and provision. A brief written summary is provided.
Literacy Skills Assessment (Dyslexia)
Literacy skills assessments focusing on literacy skills, processing, memory and underlying learning processes. Includes direct work with the child/young person, standardised measures, and a detailed diagnostic report with tailored recommendations.

Examination Access Arrangements (JCQ-Compliant)
We offer a two-tier structure depending on your needs:
- Essential Access Assessment – Standardised testing for exam access (e.g., reading, writing, speed of working), review of normal way of working, liaison with school and completion of Form 8.
- Comprehensive Access + Cognitive Profile – A full cognitive and learning profile alongside exam access testing. Detailed report suitable for exam access decisions and wider educational planning including EHCP work.
Before booking please check with your child’s school to ensure they will support the arrangements.
Virtual consultations
Consultations completed virtually are cost-effective telephone or video calls (up to 1 hour) to discuss initial concerns, identify next steps and signpost to the most appropriate services. Ideal for early discussion across the UK.
